Dave Enns passed away peacefully at Evergreen Place in Boissevain, MB on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the age of 86.
Dave was born on September 16, 1939 in Lowe Farm, MB and attended school in Arden. He lived the majority of his life in Brandon where he worked various jobs, building roads for the RM, JenPeg, delivering what he considered the “best” milk for Manco Dairies before working for Cumming and Dobbie running heavy equipment until retiring in September 2004. Dave enjoyed playing music, especially the guitar but could also play the accordion, mandolin and sang. He was also active in sports, playing baseball and later in life curling and golf. Hunting was a passion of Dave’s as was fishing, and he had many stories to share over the years. He was a member of the Wildlife Association and the Brandon Club.
Dave will be lovingly remembered by his children: Monica (Tim) Bowles, Warren (Shannon) Enns and Roanna (Jeff) Canada; grandchildren: Carri (George), David, Stephanie (Kyle), Samantha, Glenn, Dean (Teneil), Jeffrey, Curtis, Skylar (Meeghan) and Kolby (Sam). Dave was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret (nee McKinnon) in 2004, parents Maria and Frank Enns, sister Dorothy, brothers Ben and Abe, brother-in-law Frank and sisters-in-law Arlene and Betty.
A celebration of Dave’s life was held at Brockie Donovan Chapel on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
